Once upon a time, in the heart of Lyon, there was a place like no other. The story of Le Globe et Cecil began in 1866, but it was not until much later that the Aubergistes Lyonnais brand was truly born. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/section>\n\n\t\n\n\t\n\n

Yes, we are a hotel brand that embodies the spirit of an independent French hotel group, but we are far removed from the standards of traditional hotel chains. Key dates <\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

– In 1966<\/strong>, Le Globe et Cecil became the property of Mr. Auroux, the current owner’s grandfather.– In 2009<\/strong>, Lo\u00efc Renart took over the management of the Globe et Cecil hotel, and 3 years later, he acquired it, taking up the torch of 2 generations and a hotel history dating back to 1866.– In 2017<\/strong>, he acquired the H\u00f4tel du Simplon: a second address in the heart of the peninsula.– In 2018<\/strong>, the Globe et Cecil hotel unveils a new face and welcomes its gastronomic alter ego: the Comptoir Cecil restaurant.– In 2020<\/strong>, the H\u00f4tel du Ph\u00e9nix joins this symphony of unique addresses. With it, a new restaurant, the Comptoir Ph\u00e9nix, is born, and our ambitions as an independent hotel group take flight.– And so, in 2021 <\/strong>, the Les Aubergistes Lyonnais brand is born, a collection of boutique hotels, restaurants and event spaces, where every detail tells a story. Our collection thus joins the closed clan of independent French hotel groups, while retaining its family character, a far cry from chain hotels.– In 2022, Le Ph\u00e9nix is completely renovated to follow an ambitious and well-trodden path.– These efforts put together enable Le Ph\u00e9nix and Le Simplon to respectively obtain an additional star in 2022<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\t\n\n\t\n\n
