The hotels

Strong identitiesOUR ADDRESSES

All our hotels have a history, a life. They are deeply tied to their inhabitants, to who they are, to what they feel. All of these interiors, rooms and buildings, which pass through time, transform, adapt, evolve and grow with us, sharing just one raison d’être: to bring people together.

Our project has grown out of our passionate desire to take over establishments steeped in history and invent new, original and emblematic places. To create something precious, rare and unique. A true collection of exclusive concepts and dream locations, a warm and human welcome, flawless hospitality, incomparable experiences and irreproachable service for our guests. These qualities sum up the Aubergistes Lyonnais approach.

A historical address The Globe et Cecil

The first hotel in the collection, the Globe & Cecil, whose building is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the oldest hotels in Lyon. Built in 1860 by Journoud, an architectural genius, it is located barely fifty meters from the famous Place Bellecour, the tourist office (the Only Lyon Pavilion) and enjoys a location whose centrality is absolutely exceptional. The name of this hotel comes from its history, resolutely open to the World; historically it was called the Grand Hotel du Globe. It was only after its purchase at the very beginning of the 20th century by an English Lord named Cecil that this establishment received its definitive name by associating a beautiful patronym with this invitation to travel.

Just at a few steps from the rue de la République, between the Hôtel de Ville and the Ainay district, between old Lyon and Part Dieu… this central location lets guests optimize their travels and fully enjoy their stay in Lyon. At the Globe et Cecil, they can choose from among our 59 charming rooms, all with a strong and unique identity! There is something for everyone!

A welcoming homeThe Simplon

The Simplon is definitely a favorite hotel in Lyon. When you enter this establishment for the first time, you immediately feel good, at once at home, but also a bit elsewhere… This establishment is a real “grandmother’s house”, imbued with a welcoming atmosphere, whose decoration skillfully combines the charm of the authentic with original and surprising ambiences.

Its proximity to the Perrache train station makes this hotel a real invitation to travel… to the Alps, the Simplon Pass, the railroad, the Orient Express, the “petite reine” (bicycle), the stages of the Tour de France and, of course, the imaginary world associated with them. Because a hotel that evokes travel and in which one feels good is above all a hotel where one values others and encounters, we wished to accentuate this state of mind and these assets by welcoming within this House, “Les Petites Cantines”, a very nice concept of participative cooking and shared meals.

With the Simplon, the primary motivation was not just to offer one more hotel, but to enrich the collection with a new experience to live and share.

An emblematic establishment The Phénix

The latest nugget in the collection is called the Phénix. By joining the Aubergistes Lyonnais collection, this true jewel of Renaissance architecture is reinvented. The bird of fire dreams of being an emblematic rooster protecting the French art of living, crowing every morning to awaken its guests to the beauty of the nearby banks of the Saône River.

It is an old Florentine hotel steeped in history that has been a hotel since the 16th century. Period fireplaces and woodwork, mullioned windows, vaulted lounges and Art Deco stained glass windows make it a true architectural gem. Combining tradition and modernity, the Phoenix will delight contemplative and romantic individuals as well as travelers who love heritage, strolls, shopping and discoveries. With its exceptional location in the heart of the Saint-Paul district in Old Lyon, a UNESCO World Heritage site, this hotel with a strong historical dimension offers a unique panorama of the Saône River.
